Would I Heed the Warning?

They paint the tree roots orange when they interrupt the dirt and gravel oak-lined path on which I powerwalk.

Too bad there's not some similar warning system in the journey we call "real life."

I wouldn't mind some orange aura showing up when the next step is going to guarantee I trip, fall and experience pain.

You have an orange traffic cone built in...it's called instinct a.k.a. that initial feeling you get in the pit of your stomach that says "yeah!" or "danger!"

dang it, i'm SURE i'm color-blind to orange (or whatever color the warning patrol decides on)!

When I lived in B'ham, we were convinced the orange traffic barrels reproduced at night. I think if there were visible indicators of my life's danger zone it would be like that -- a sea of orange! Fortunately, I do fairly well with obstacle courses!

knowing you karen, you wouldn't heed it. you'd run straight in and find out what all the danger and fuss was about...part of why i love you.
